This is an English translation provided for your convenience. The Spanish version at lamarujabakery.es/terminos-sms.html is the legally binding text, and both versions say exactly the same thing. The opt-out and help keywords (BAJA, STOP, AYUDA) are the words the system actually recognises, so they are kept in Spanish here on purpose.

2. Description of the messaging programme
LaMaruja Bakery runs a text message (SMS) programme to keep you informed about your dealings with us. Through this programme you may receive:
- Order confirmations and alerts — the status, collection or delivery of your order.
- El Marujeo notifications — points earned, prizes available, your prize-wheel code and reminders that a reward is about to expire.
- Occasional messages — promotions, new products or operational notices (for example, closures or changes to opening hours).
No messages are sent for purposes other than those described here, and phone numbers are not passed to third parties for marketing campaigns unconnected with LaMaruja Bakery.
3. Consent (opt-in)
By giving us your mobile number — whether when signing up to El Marujeo, when placing an order, or by telling us expressly in the shop or online — and ticking the corresponding acceptance box, you give your express consent to receive SMS messages from LaMaruja Bakery for the purposes described in section 2.
Consent to receive SMS is always voluntary and is never a condition of buying products or services from LaMaruja Bakery.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies with your activity and how much you interact with us. As a guide, you may receive up to 8 messages a month. We do not send SMS in bulk or indiscriminately.
5. Costs: message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your tariff and your mobile network. LaMaruja Bakery charges nothing extra for sending these SMS, but your network may bill you under the terms of your own contract.
6. How to opt out
You can cancel your SMS subscription at any time, free of charge:
- By replying BAJA or STOP to any SMS you receive (BAJA is the Spanish for "unsubscribe"; both words work).
- By writing to info@lamarujabakery.es asking to be removed from the service.
- By setting it directly in your El Marujeo profile, where that applies.
Once you have opted out you will receive at most one confirmation SMS, and no further messages unless you subscribe again.
7. Help
If you have any problem or question about the SMS programme, reply AYUDA (Spanish for "help") to any message you receive, or get in touch at info@lamarujabakery.es or on +34 614 618 479.
8. Mobile networks
Mobile networks are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. LaMaruja Bakery does not guarantee that SMS will arrive on time, as delivery can be affected by factors outside our control (coverage, network maintenance, the recipient's handset, and so on).
9. Privacy of your data
The processing of your phone number and other personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not share your number with third parties unconnected with the provision of our services, nor use it for purposes other than those described in this document.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in the programme, in our systems or in applicable law. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the latest change.
Any questions?
If you have questions about the SMS programme or want to opt out, message us. We reply within 48 hours.
